Celebrate 30 Years in Business by #GivingBack
“When Steve left the gas board, we knew things weren’t going to be easy. Over the last 30 years we have had countless highs and lows, but our foundation has always been the same… Family.
We started the business to provide for our family; our two sons Matthew & Mark. Then as the business grew, we became responsible for even more families through our staff and together we have helped to keep generations of families warm across Staffordshire & Cheshire.
So, to celebrate 30 Years in Business we couldn’t think of a better tribute than pledging to raise £30,000 for local charities… our way of Giving Back” – Tina Holdcroft. MD- Holdcroft Heating & Gas Fitting LTD
Throughout 2019 at Holdcroft Heating we have been working hard to raise £30,000 for our chosen charities in everything from Christmas wrapping, jail breaks, to curry-quiz evenings, balls and even Yoga & Pot Throwing!
Like so many local people we have all been touched by the amazing work of at least one of these charities and have felt honoured to play our small part to help them to do what they do.
The Realise Foundation:
“We are committed to building better futures in our communities across North Staffordshire through skills, jobs and health.
By bringing people together and providing practical help, we can build resilience and break down the causes of poverty for generations to come”
Alice Charity:
“Alice is a local charity which supports children and families within the communities of Stoke-On-Trent and Newcastle-Under-Lyme, in times of crisis.
We support vulnerable families over a period of time, to develop both independence and resilience, in periods of difficulty. We’re actively breaking the cycle of poverty and ensuring that the impacts hardship can bring has minimal effect on the children”.
Douglas Macmillan Hospice:
“Our vision is… to be admired as a centre of excellence for palliative and end of life care.
Our mission is… to respond to the increasing needs of our patients in our heartland by growing as a sustainable organisation, delivering outstanding value for money for all our funding sources and always remaining true to our core values”.
The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice:
“Whether having lots of fun and bringing families together at our purpose-built facility in Trentham, providing respite in the family home, being there during hospital stays, facilitating support groups in the community, or simply being at the end of the phone. The Donna Louise is there for families across Staffordshire and Cheshire – whenever, wherever, always”.
North Staffs Mind:
“Our vision is of a society that promotes and protects good mental health for all, and that treats people with experience of mental distress fairly, positively and with respect.
The needs and experiences of people with mental distress drive our work and we make sure that their voice is heard by those who influence change.
Our independence gives us the freedom to stand up and speak out on the real issues that affect daily lives”.
The work of these charities is nothing short of amazing and we thank them for their support over the year and hope our donations help them to help others.
Friendship isn’t a big thing, it’s a million little things!
Of course, with such a huge task we could not have done any of this alone. When things get tough you find out who your friends are, and our friends are AWESOME! Donating their time, money and support throughout the year.
We feel truly blessed to know so many beautiful souls in our local community. Your generosity has touched our hearts and we only hope one day to be able to repay the kindness you have shown us.
